Sometimes, you want to serve more than just meat and grilled vegetables. Potatoes with bacon from your KLAUWE is a delicious and simple side dish. Impress Your Friends! Klauwe van de Kok shows you how to make it.

Ingredients
General:
- Servings: 4 people (about 100 to 125 grams per person)
- Preparation Time: 10 minutes
- Cooking Time: Depending on the temperature, 1 to 2 hours
Ingredients:
- 400 grams of small, unpeeled baby potatoes
- 100 grams of bacon cubes
- 50 grams of herb butter
Herbs:
- Tarragon
- Rosemary
- Thyme
Instructions
Step 1: Cooking the bacon
In your kitchen, place a pan on the stove and cook the bacon cubes. There’s no need to add oil or butter, as the bacon will release enough fat. Cook the bacon until it turns a nice golden brown, but don’t let it get too crispy.
Step 2: Cleaning the potatoes
Thoroughly clean the baby potatoes under cold water and pat them dry.
Step 3: Preparing the aluminum Foil
Tear off a sheet of aluminum foil about the size of an A4 paper and place it on the counter. The dull side of the foil should be facing down (the dull side absorbs heat). Repeat this so you have two sheets ready. If you have big eaters, feel free to prepare more. Place half of the potatoes on each sheet of foil. Add half of the cooked bacon cubes to each, and a generous dollop (about 25 grams) of herb butter.
Step 4: Adding the herbs
Finish off each packet by adding a pinch of tarragon, thyme, and rosemary over the potatoes, bacon, and herb butter.
Step 5: Sealing the aluminum Foil
Fold the aluminum foil upwards to seal the packets tightly. Make sure nothing can escape or leak out during cooking.
Step 6: Cooking on the KLAUWE BBQ
The cooking time for the potato packets on your KLAUWE will depend on what else you are making and the temperature you are using. Ideally, you want everything to be ready at the same time.
If you are making ribs with a water pan at around 120 degrees Celsius, the packets should be on the grill for about 2 hours. This matches the cooking time for your ribs.
If you are grilling without a water pan and at a higher temperature, make sure to grill indirectly (not directly over the coals). At a temperature of around 150 - 180 degrees Celsius, the packets should be ready in about an hour.
Bon appétit and don’t forget: Eat with your KLAUWE and Impress Your Friends!
